SASSA Grants Payment Dates for July 2024 – Collect Your Grant Now!

SASSA announced the July payment dates for their grant applicants, and you can verify your pay date or grant amount by SASSA status checking. So, if you are an older grant applicant, you will collect your amount on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024. Also, disabled persons can obtain their grant on the next day, Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024.

SASSA Payment Dates for July 2024

Parents can receive their child support grant on Friday, July 5th, 2024. On the other hand, if you are an applicant for a SASSA care dependency or foster child, you can also acquire your grant on a similar date, Friday, July 5th, 2024. Older Age Grant Payment Date:

The recipients of older persons grant will receive their payment on Tuesday, 2 July 2024. If your age is between (60 and 75), then you will receive R2,180. More than (75+) age South Africans will receive R2, 200.

Disability Grant Payment Date:

On Wednesday, 3 July 2024, You will receive your disability grant; the distribution amount is R2,180.

Child Support & Foster Child Payment Date:

Parents and Care takers will receive their SASSA child support or foster child grants on Friday, 5 July 2024. The amount for the Child support grant is R530 and the foster child grant is R1,180.

Care Dependency Grant Payment Date:ย 

A Similar date is announced for SASSA care dependency grant applicants: Friday, 5 July 2024, and the grant amount is R2,180.

SRD Grant Payment Date:

SASSA has not confirmed the exact date for the SRD R370 grant (Formerly R350). So, if your grant status is approved for the SRD grant, you will receive your payment between Thursday, 25, and Wednesday, 31 July 2024. You must need to check your status regularly to get your exact payment date.

Collecting Your SASSA July Grant Payment in 2024

The SASSA grant received depends on your payment selection, which means which convenient method you selected during the grant application process. So, if you select a bank account, SASSA card, PayPoint, and post office, your grant will automatically be deposited into your selected method.

Please follow the below steps to get your grant amount from your selected payment method:

Method 1: Receive SASSA Grant Via Post Office Branches SAPO/Post

During the application process, if you were selected by the post office for collecting your every monthly grant, then visit your nearest post office;

  • First, take your identity card and visit the closest post office.
  • Ask Staff for SASSA July payment collection and provide your ID number with your SASSA registered mobile number.
  • They will send you a USSD message on your phone for the verification.
  • Approve it, and the staff will hand over you your July grant amount.

NOTE: Many applicants select post post to acquire their grant. For that reason, you need to visit early in the morning. Otherwise, you will be facing long queues.

Also, keep in mind that SRD grant applicants canโ€™t collect their grant via any post office; they must select another payment method to collect their grant.

Method 2: Receive Grant Into Your Personal Bank Account

If you selected the “Bank Account” as your preferred payment method to receive your grant, then you will receive your grant payment directly into your bank account on the payment date. Once the money is deposited into the account, you can withdraw it from any nearest ATM or from your bank.

NOTE: During the application process, if your bank details are correct, your grant will be accepted. Please triple-check your bank details before submitting, and if you are still waiting to receive your grant, immediately contact SASSA to correct your details and avoid disruption to your grant payments.

Method 3: Use SASSA Card

If you receive your monthly grant via SASSA card, then your grant amount will be automatically deposited into your SASSA card on the payment date. Once the money deposited into your card, you can withdraw it any time from any ATM or by visiting a merchant.

Method 4: Using Partnered Merchants

During the application process, if you selected any SASSA partnered merchant such as Shoprite, Boxer, Pick n Pay, and Spar. Then you will need to visit your chosen merchant to withdraw your grant on your payment date.

Please follow the below instructions below to collect your payment:

  • After receiving July grant SMS, visit your chosen merchant on your pay day along with your ID document and SASSA registered phone number.
  • Once arrived, go to the till point and ask the staff that your are here to collect your SASSA payment.
  • They will ask you to provide your identity card and the message you received from the SASSA for your July payment date.
  • Once they complete their verification process, they will hand over your grant money.

What Should I Do if I Did Not Receive My Payment Date?

If your SASSA grant is approved but you did not receive the payment date, it could be due to various reasons. The main reason that may cause no payment dates are following along with their solutions:

1. Check Your Banking Details

The first thing you need to check if your banking details are correct. Login to the SASSA portal to check if your banking details. If you find any incorrect details, then fix them and you will receive your payment date.

2. Confirm If Your Banking Transaction Limit is Not Exceeded

The other reason of no payment date could be due to exceeding the transaction limit of your bank account. Please verify your last month transaction amount is not exceeded the SASSA means test income criteria. If exceeded, then you won’t receive the payment date until you prove to SASSA that transactions are not belonged to your income.

3. Verify Your Contact Details

One of the reason of delayed payment date is incorrect contact details. So, you will need login to the SASSA portal to check your contact details. Once details are corrected, you will receive your payment date.

4. Identify the Exact Reason by Contacting SASSA

If you tried the above three methods and your all details are correct, then please contact SASSA helpline via 0800 601 011. Explain about your payment dates issue to the representative and they will provide you with the exact reason of your delayed payment date.
