The most common method to receive your social grant is to use your bank account. It is only possible if you choose it as your payment method for the SASSA grant application.
You will receive an SMS on your SASSA-registered phone number when your grant payment is deposited into your account. After that you can visit your nearest ATM or bank branch to withdraw your money.
Get Grant Payment Through the SASSA Card
You will receive your grant money through your SASSA card if you have selected it as your payment method in your grant application.
It is the second most widely used grant payment method after the bank account. Use this card at your nearest ATM or SASSA-Partnered retail stores to have grant money in your hand on the scheduled day.
Collect Grant Money Through SASSA-Partnered Retail Stores
The third best way to get your grant is through SASSA-Partnered retail stores such as SPAR, Boxer, Pick n Pay, or Shoprite.
You will receive your grant through this method only if you have chosen it as your payment method in the grant application. You need your ID and phone number to get your grant money from these stores on the planned day.
