SASSA Grants Payment Dates for August 2024

SASSA announces grant payment dates for all types of grants in a pre-announced schedule. But, you can experience a difference in the final payment dates due to your grant type and the payment method you are using to receive your SASSA grants.
Here are the SASSA grant payment dates for August 2024:
Old Age Grant Payment Date:
If you are the beneficiary of the Old Age Grant, you will receive the grant money on Friday, August 2, 2024.
Additionally, you will also receive any other grant linked to your Old Age Grant, such as the Grant-in-Aid, on the same day.
Disability Grant Payment Date:
You will receive your Disability Grant monthly payment on Monday, August 5, 2024. Any other grant linked to your Disability Grant, such as the Grant-in-Aid, will be paid on the same day.
Child Support, Care Dependency, and Foster Care Grant Payment Dates:
The recipients of Child Support, Care Dependency, and Foster Care Grant will receive their payments on Tuesday, 6th August 2024.
War Veterans Grant Payment Date:
The War Veterans Grant recipients will also receive their monthly grant payment on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
SASSA SRD R370 (Previously R350) Grant Payment Date:
The payment disbursement for SRD grant recipients will start in the last week of August 2024. They will need to perform the SASSA status check to get their exact payment date.

How to Collect Your SASSA Payment for August 2024
The collection of your grant money depends on the payment method you selected while you applied for the SASSA grant. There are four commonly used payment methods to collect your SASSA grant money. These payment methods are listed below:
1. Receive Your Grant Via Bank Account
One of the common ways to receive your SASSA grant is to get it into your bank account. If you selected your payment method as a bank account while applying for the SASSA grant, you will get instant payment into your account on the payment date.
Once received, you can withdraw it by visiting your bank branch or from any nearest ATM.
Note: Please make sure you provide the correct banking details when applying to avoid any delay in your payment dates.
2. Receiving Your Grant Via SASSA Card
If you selected the SASSA card as your payment method while applying for the grant, your monthly grant payment will be deposited onto your card on the payment date. Once deposited, you can withdraw it at any time from any bank ATM or chosen retailer.
3. Receiving Your Grant Via SASSA-Partnered Merchants
If you don’t have a bank account and selected one of the SASSA-partnered merchants such as SPAR, Shoprite, Pick n Pay or Boxer as your payment method, then you will need to visit your selected store on the payment date to receive your grant.
Please take along your ID card and SASSA-registered phone number while visiting any merchant to receive your grant.
4. Receive Your Grant from SAPO
The other way to collect your payment is via the South African Post Office (SAPO). If you selected SAPO as your payment method while applying, then you can receive your grant from your nearest SAPO post office branch.
You need to bring your ID and SASSA-registered phone number while collecting your grant from SAPO.
Note: SRD grant beneficiaries can not receive their grant from post office. They must need to select any other payment method to collect their grant.
Conclusion
