Payment Methods to Receive Your SASSA Grant in September 2024

If you have selected a bank account as your payment method in the SASSA grant application, you will receive your grant money in your bank account on the payment date. You will need to visit your nearest bank branch or ATM to withdraw your payment.
2. Getting Grant Payment via SASSA Card:
If you have chosen the SASSA Card as your payment method on the grant application, the grant money will be deposited into your card on the payment date.
You can withdraw it from an ATM or any SASSA-partnered retailer.
3. Receive Grant Payment From SASSA-Partnered Retail Stores:
if you selected any SASSA-partnered retailer such as Boxer, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, or SPAR, you can collect your grant from the selected retailer on the payment date.
While visiting the retailer for collecting your payment, you must take along your ID card and SASSA-registered phone number, as they will be used to verify your identity.
4. South African Post Office (SAPO):
You can also receive your grant payment from South African Post Office (SAPO). If you have selected the SAPO as your payment method, you will need to visit your nearest SAPO branch with your South African ID and phone number to receive your grant.
