1. Receive Grant Payment in Your Bank Account

You will get your grant money in your bank account if you have selected bank transfer as your payment method in the SASSA grant application. You can withdraw the amount through an ATM card or from the nearest bank branch.  

 2. SASSA Card as Your Grant Payment Method

If you do not want to get your payments through a bank account, you can withdraw it with a SASSA card on the scheduled date if you selected it on your grant application. You can use your nearest ATM or SASSA-Partnered retail stores. 

3.  Getting Grant Money through the SASSA-Partnered Retail Stores

Another way to collect your grant money is from SASSA-partnered retailers such as Boxer, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, or SPAR if you have chosen them as your grant payment method in the grant application. 

You will need your South African ID Card and SASSA-registered phone number to confirm your identity while receiving the payment from these stores. 

4. Receiving Grant Payment from the South African Post Office (SAPO)

If you do not get a grant with all the above methods, you can get it from the South African Post Office (SAPO) if you have chosen it as your payment method in the SASSA grant application. 

Please visit your nearby SAPO branch with your ID and registered phone number to get payment on the planned day.
